4th Parade
This afternoon we went to the Magna Parade. We forgot chairs and a blanket, but sat on the deep curbs. We also forgot sun screen so the children and I tried to sit in some shade. We parked at our Post office and maybe walked half a mile or less. We couldn't find the group we were looking for so just finally sat down. It was a fun parade. Our Stakes Float and the Prom Float were the only real floats in the parade. Everybody threw candy. After the first few times Jaden started to complain. "Why do I have to pick up the candy?!" "Do we have to have candy?!" "This candy is grose!" We even got otter Pops, small water bottles with warm water, american flags, firemans hat, tattoos, and I got a T-shirt. It looked like a diaper when they threw it at me. Lexy loved the Parade. By the end she was waving at everyone and climbing into the street to find candy. She looked so cute with her flag, firemans hat and 4th of July Lay. She didn't want to leave. Jackson did really good too. We were very hot and sweety, luckily a breeze was going, so it helped. We are excited to go again next year. I did not think it would be this big of a deal, so we didn't bring food or drinks. I thought we would be out of there in a half hour. We were there for almost 2 and a half hours. From parking and walking to waiting, and leaving. It was great.
