Oops we did it again!

Okay. Haven't written for a while because we have been really sick over here. Everyone, and really busy with, that's right, we did it again. A dog. But this time a Puppy. Which I wanted a grown up, but we did puppy, and it is driving me crazy trying to train it. We spend all hours of the day walking it and taking it outside to do its thing. Then it comes back inside and does it again. That is, if it already did it outside. Yes, even at 3 am in the snow and wind, and us being sick we are out there. We are insane. But in a year, we should be very happy about it. This first night we had him Lexy was up sick. She had thrown up. So when Buddy got back from his walk she was so excited and ran around yelling for him and jumping. It was about 4:30am by the time we actually got to sleep. Not to mention Jackson was already sleeping in our bed because he was sick. Luckily I had set an alarm, just incase for 7:40 so I could get to my crosswalk. This was the first time I have ever needed it. Yikes. That is how tired we have been. I don't have much time to write all the details.

Other than that. We have done a few christmas things. So look at the slideshow for updated pictures.

Kids just got some meds, so should be going back to school tomorrow.

what kind of dog did you guys get?
I bet the kids are so excited! Our dog is huge now (over 60 lbs), but she is strickly an outside dog, so the backyard is her domain :) Good luck with the puppy stage!

We've had our puppy for a little over a month now and I've had to train her to do her thing outside too. I read A LOT on the internet and got some really good tips.

1. Take him outside after he eats and wakes up.

2. Confine him. When you leave or can't keep an eye on him and maybe overnight (until he is trained), put him in his crate. He will not pee where he sleeps (usually).

3. Have doggie treats handy and reward him right after he does his business. "Good boy" and lots of petting help too.

My puppy is almost 15 weeks old and she was trained fairly quickly. She's a good puppy. Good luck! :)

Don't tell Danya. Her Christmas list still consists of a laptop and puppy, at least she is getting old enough to know she won't get them! you are a brave woman! Can't wait to meet your dog this summer.

Hey Min...
You should check out this great book that I am reading. Supposedly there is a Dog Whisperer.. Name is Cesar Millan and the book is called "How to raise the Perfect Dog." It is a great book and a fun read. You are past the first few chapters already, but it is sort of a story/non fiction, how to book. I am about half way through, learning how to potty train and crate train. It has been working! GOod Luck Min.. We are in this together!
Funny... My word Verification word was "Messes". Ha how appropriate!
