RUN THE RAVE!!!
So I did my first 5K. Tiffany Farish and I were going to run it with our husbands. But I got a suprise phone call that my older Sister Heidi and husband Dan were coming to town this weekend. So exciting. So with lots of working things out, Heidi and HOlly bought our husbands spots in the race. Craig, Justin, and Dan went to the BYU vs. Utes game. How fun for all of us. Dan actually ran a marathon on Saturday morning, but we did a great 5K that night. We got there really early because we really didn't know what to expect. It started at 9pm (they actually didn't get started until 9:20pm). We got glow sticks and glow paint. After I had Heidi paint Tiffany all up, they announced that it wasn't working. Hum! O-well. They had music going before hand so we danced around a little and took lots of pictures. The race ended up being on the actual beach! So we ran out towards the Great Salt Lake. The start had some big rocks we tripped on and then lots of nasty mushy sand. We stepped in some Sand holes with water. It stunk like crazy. The path was lit with paper bags with candles inside. The first mile seemed horrible because it was not what I expected. But then it went pretty fast. We had a great time complaining, and simply just laughing and laughing. All four of us Gals are so funny when you put us together. We didn't stay for dancing afterwards because instead of playing music they were doing all kinds of announcements and drawings. The when they started the music it was salsa and we were done. So we got back home earlier than we thought we would. But we stayed up until at least 2 am in the morning talking. Dan and Craig got home around that time because they had taken the train. Which was really great and a time saver, however the train on the way back when they switched trains broke down. Ugh! O-well we all had a nice time. It was nice to spend time with my sisters without the kids around so we could finish complete thoughts and do our own thing. So much fun!!! Oh my gosh! That looks so fun!! Good for you man :)
This race was so fun. I am glad that your sisters were able to come and participate. Even though it would've been fun to have our hubbies w/ us at the race; it was even that more fun with your sisters. I haven't laughed or seen you laugh so hard in a long while. Thanks for the fun times and good laughs. I am so happy we found each other and are great friends!!!
