Doing Great, going home!

Craig is doing great.  The surgery ended an hour early.  No hickups at all.  The catheter put in his leg to deliver meds directly to his siatic nerve worked great.  So they didn't have to give him a hole lot of meds to keep him asleep.  Plus his spinal tap.  So he was very awake and chatty for at least 8 hours after the surgery.  Which was great because he had a lot of visitors and phone calls.  He has been up moving around and in good spirits.  Today they disconnected the meds going straight to the nerve and loaded the leg with some pain meds.  They say it should last up to 12 hrs.  But, we have had those wear off before and it was not pretty.  The three younger kids got to play at the Hamilton's last night which was a huge help to Charleen.  She is wearing out.  I went home last night to put the kids to bed.  Our heater is broken.  We had someone come and look at it and the control board is burned out.  So they went to get a replacement but our furnace is so old that they don't make ones to fit our model anymore.  So Monday someone is coming out to see if they can rewire everything to make it work.  If not, then we will need a new furnace.  Great, always when we are in the hospital something major breaks while we are in here.  Oh-well.  We have been cold, but the kids had space heaters on last night and it worked okay.  As long as I stayed under the covers I was fine.  I think that is it for now.
